Biography

Dr. Agni Grypioti is currently working as Formulation Development Director at Rontis Hellas SA being responsible for setting up the Pharmaceutical Division. She has completed Bachelor in Chemistry with research work on Biochemistry and she also holds a PhD in Experimental Pharmacology (University of Athens). She began her career in 2002 leading an academic research on a new hepatoprotective drug. In 2005 she moved into the private sector working as a Project Manager for the well-known companies Hoffmann-La Roche AG and Qiagen. In 2007 she moved in the pharmaceutical industry and joined DEMO SA as a Senior Formulation Scientist, where she worked in the development of injectable and freeze-dried injectable generic drugs. In 2009 she joined Genepharm SA, which specializes in solid generic dosage forms, as Group Leader and later as Head of Formulation Development. Her responsibilities included project management and guidance of the formulation scientific team. Dr. Grypioti has published several scientific articles in peer reviewed international journals, has extensively presented her research in scientific conferences and she is inventor in eight (8) patent applications.
