Biography
Dr. Abdulrahman A Almehizia is a researcher in drug discovery and design. He is a medicinal chemist, computer modeling scientist and molecular biologist with a deep knowledge in the genetics, biochemistry, enzymology and chemical biology of the G-Protein Coupled Receptors (GPCRs) which plays an important role in the several physiological and pathological processes. Dr. Almehizia has published several research articles in the synthesis and exploring of new drugs, depicting several novel ligands targeting the GPCR of the cannabinoid receptors. Dr. Almehizia is currently the Chairman of the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department at King Saud University – School of Pharmacy and the acting Supervisor of the Drug Exploration and Development Chair (DEDC).
